This role is based in Auckland, reporting to the Installations Coordinator. You will be responsible for installing our beautifully crafted kitchens into our clients’ homes. The occasional site measure will also form part of your duties. Working unsupervised, we require someone who is reliable and able to get the job done right the first time. We are a busy team and work to a tight schedule, so time management is a must.
As we cover across the country, out of town travel is required on occasion. As an HK employee, you represent everything HK stands for which includes customer service as you will be on site and dealing with clients and site managers.
We require someone with industry knowledge, so this role would suit an experienced joiner/ cabinet maker or someone with several years’ experience in a similar role.
This role will be provided with a work vehicle and tools to ensure duties can be completed.
To be successful in the role, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Experienced in Kitchen Installations
- Cabinet Maker by trade (ideal)
- Be able to work largely unsupervised
- Must be physically fit
- Ability to problem solve
- Previous experience site measuring
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work to a schedule
- Able to attend remedials as they come up after installations are complete
- Strong communication skills

As a Project Manager for HK, you will oversee the jobs within your portfolio ensuring a timely and successful installation. This role involves providing comprehensive oversight throughout project progression, effective communication with teams regarding changes, accurate scheduling, and coordination of site measures, conducting site visits for assessments and remedial requests, when required, and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure successful installations. Additionally, the Project Manager will liaise with construction managers to ensure quality outcomes, provide technical support, efficiently handle administrative tasks, and conduct minor remedial work while supporting factory operations.
To be successful in the role, you will possess the following minimum skills and attributes:
- Certificate in Joinery level 4 (Cabinet Maker)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in joinery manufacturing
- Minimum 2 years’ installation experience
- Basic Microsoft skills (excel, outlook)
- Project management experience
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Time management and organisational skills
- Ability to problem solve and simplify complex issues
- Strong attention to detail (plan details & numbers)
- Able to work unsupervised
- Health & Safety conscious
